In Umm Qasr port Gazal logistics owns berth 5 and acts an agent to major break bulk and container shipping lines, Gazal Logisitics receives.
vessels and ensures direct berthing of these vessels, expedite and manage Stevedoring, and ensure direct delivery to the final destination. In 2008, Gazal Logisitics offloaded more than 200,000 metric tons of pipes and delivered them to SOC (South Oil Company in Iraq). In addition to that, we have our own people (Gazal Logistics employees) in Umm Qasr who conduct clearance (duty paid & exempted) and delivery of both containerized and non containerized cargo to different locations in Iraq; both military and civilian. Our employees are managed directly by one of our supervisors in Kuwait and supported by a local on-ground Iraqi Manager reporting to Kuwait. Gazal Logistics who own berth no: 5 is the only berth that is equipped with gantry cranes along the South pier, provides quick berthing of vessel through berthing schedules, act as stevedores,  vessel agency, has a 100,000 sqm of yard that is fully fenced with CC TV’s, tower lighting, 24 hour manned security, new MHE’s, trailers, reefer plug points, stuffing & unstuffing services, container inspection, cleaning, warehousing and customs clearance services and delivery of cargo to all the parts in Iraq.
